Proper Posture and Digestion

In my grandmother’s time, the
Japanese still measured the value of people by one’s posture more than money or
looks. My grandmother used to tell me that “Well, he is a rich man, but he has
a humpback, so you may not be able to trust him all the time.”
Posture imbalance is a key
root cause of health issues such as backache, headache, insomnia, ear-ringing,
mood swing, anger and anxiety. Many people focus on only one aspect —either
body or mind or soul. The idea of separation limits the capacity to heal. The
Posture Balance Method rebalances and regains one’s sense of the whole being
which should be “body=mind=soul”.
Bad posture reflects a
dysfunctional digestive system where excessive intake of sugar, flour and dairy
as well as long-term use of medications, are common factors, typically allowing
the abdomen to expand and swell to the point of discomfort. Without proper
abdominal muscle function, posture worsens.
As a certified Gut and Psychology Syndrome diet (GAPS diet)
practitioner, nutrition is a key component of my Posture Balance Method.
Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride,
M.D. developed the GAPS diet to successfully heal her son’s autism. Basically,
the approach enhances the regeneration of body functions. It is a combination
of proper food and supplements to heal our gut dysbiosis and relieve
neurological and psychological conditions including autism, ADD, ADHD,
dyslexia, dyspraxia, depression, obsessive/compulsive disorder, bipolar,
schizophrenia and others.
Without properly balanced nutrients in our body, we cannot
function properly. Therefore, “body = mind = soul” may be difficult to achieve,
but worth the time and effort to attain a well-balanced posture.
