#GivingTuesday International Day of Giving
American have set aside Thanksgiving Day for giving thanks and
Black Friday and Cyber Monday for getting deals. #GivingTuesday is a global day
dedicated to giving back. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (December 3),
charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the
world will come together to celebrate generosity and to give. National Day of
Giving harnesses the power of social media to give back around the world and
throughout the year.
To participate, find a way to give back, and then share the idea
with family, friends, local and national organizations using the power of
#GivingTuesday on social media. There are so many local charities that could
benefit from our help in time or money.
