Hoboken 5K to End Homelessness
A flat and fast costumed race
through Hoboken with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline will take place at
10 a.m., October 26. Packet pick-up begins at 8 a.m., costume judging starts at
9 a.m. and a Scary Scurry Kids’ Race starts at 11 a.m.
The race supports the Hoboken
Homeless Shelter that transforms lives, sheltering 50 people nightly, serving
530 meals daily and hosting 1,000 showers weekly for those in need. Last year,
the race raised more than $75,000 with 2,000 registered runners the goal this
year is $80,000.
There are prizes for racers,
fundraisers and best costume. All kids in the Scary Scurry race will receive a
finishing medal. There will be vendors at the Race Village on the pier and an
after party.
