Charity Begins at Home
Nancy Boone, a resident of Ramsey for more than 70 ears and owner of Ramsey Farmers Market at the Main Street train station, is proud of her town, its community and the multitude of dedicated people that have devoted so much time and effort to make it vibrant, welcoming and forward-thinking.
Now in its 14th season, the market hosts many events scheduled throughout the year. Every Sunday, Boone and her dedicated volunteers welcome hundreds of shoppers from far and wide to find the freshest produce and products from more than 50 farms, food purveyors and artisans. They donate annually to many town and local nonprofits,
After retiring 10 years ago from Ramapo College, Boone currently serves on Ramsey’s Design Review Board and Environmental Commission, and the Board of the Mahwah Environmental Volunteer Organization.
