Stalking the Wild Kratts
Liberty
Science Center’s new adventure for kids, Wild Kratts: Creature Power!, based on the popular PBS Kids
series, is open through May 31. Visitors will get a new perspective on their
own neighborhood as they “miniaturize” to go eye-to-eye with beetles and birds,
see flowers as butterflies do, catch lunch like a bullfrog and create a
creature chorus.
Children can have fun
discovering wild animals and their “creature powers”, beginning at the Wild
Kratts HQ through five distinct habitats. They’ll slip through underbrush like
a jaguar, swing through trees like a monkey, ride a slide like an emperor
penguin and hang on a rope like a sloth in the tropical rainforest. Learning
about Australian kangaroos, platypuses and koalas is all part of the adventure.
Using Wild Kratts technology and the powers of science and collaboration,
guests will help the team solve problems and rescue animals from the
“villains”.
Prices range from
$19.99 to $29.99. Discounts for seniors and kids from ages 2 to 12 (under 2 is
free). Location: 222 Jersey Blvd., Jersey City. For tickets and more
information, visit LSC.org.
