Tickets on Sale for It’s a Wonderful Life Radio Play
Mile Square Theatre, in Hoboken, will reprise its popular version of It’s a Wonderful Life, the live radio play, in its virtual theater platform, from November 26 to December 27. Audio descriptions and closed captions will be available for the program starting December 3.
This family-friendly production, which runs 45 minutes, brings the audience into a 1940s radio studio to witness a live reading of the classic film’s screenplay. Joe Landry’s adaptation invites the audience to experience the story as theater of the mind, as versatile actors play multiple roles, enhanced by sound effects performed by a foley artist.
All tickets are sold via video on demand. Once a ticket is purchased, the video will be available starting on the dates listed above and will be available indefinitely until the ticketholder watches it. After that, the ticketholder will have 48 hours to finish or re-watch it before it disappears.
Anyone requiring audio descriptions should select the event labeled “With Audio Descriptions” when purchasing a ticket. There’s no need to select a special ticket or event for closed captioning, which can be turned on and off using the video player.
