Virtual Support Group for New Moms Begins April 20
Licensed psychotherapist Michele Passman, of Anchor Therapy, will lead a virtual support group for new moms on eight consecutive Wednesdays, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., beginning April 20. The group is open to New Jersey residents (and their babies), who can participate from the comfort of their own homes. Registration ends on April 13.
Passman—who is also a mom—will lead the group as they discuss the range of feelings new mothers can experience, including postpartum depression, “baby blues,” anxiety, loneliness and guilt, as well as hormonal and emotional changes.
The cost is $75 per session. New clients of Anchor Therapy must complete an intake process ($255) before they can join the group. An out-of-network “superbill” will be provided for insurance reimbursement for all sessions.
“If you are a resident of New Jersey and are a new mom who had a baby within the past year by birth, surrogate or adoption, then you qualify to join our group,” Passman says. “Space is limited to only eight members, and they will be reserved on a first-come-first-serve basis. So if you’re interested, definitely reach out now to get started by reserving your spot.”
