Anchor Therapy Hosts New Jersey Teen Group
Anchor Therapy,
based in Hoboken, will offer a weekly group video series for New Jersey high
school students starting October 15. The sessions will be held on eight
Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., ending on December 17. They will cover issues
like social skills and making friends, coping skills, self-esteem, family and
school-related issues and stress.
Registration
closes October 2. Space is limited to eight members.
The group
sessions will take place on Google Meet, a privacy-protected platform. Participants
will need a Google account, and new clients are required to have an hour intake
session ($250) before their teen can participate. An out-of-network superbill
will be provided for insurance reimbursement of sessions.
Anchor Therapy provides counseling for
children, teens, adults, groups, parents and couples. Among its specialties are
cognitive behavioral therapy; play therapy; and counseling for trauma, anxiety,
LGBTQ+, life transitions, depression, postpartum depression, addiction and
substance abuse. It also offers telehealth.
“Therapy
doesn’t have to be the typical sitting on a couch and feeling as if you are
talking to a wall. At Anchor Therapy, we like to make therapy enjoyable and
interactive. Your therapist will be with you every step of the way,” says
Courtney Glashow, LCSW, one of the practice’s four providers.
Cost: $75 per session. For registration and information,
