Even before the pandemic, people like me, originally a New Yorker and now a New Jersey resident, were looking for a new place to call home with a vibrant culture, good schools, accessibility to the city, and more space.

In 2020, as everyone began spending more time at home, rearranging their living space to accommodate Zoom meetings and classes and 24/7 family togetherness, more urban dwellers realized they needed something different. Good news is, New Jersey is abundant with counties booming with urban energy. Once-quaint towns like Westfield, Summit, Madison and Morristown have become the new “it” spots for quality of life and proximity to the city.
