Take a Nighttime Bike Ride Along the Hudson
Light Up the Loop, a three-hour nighttime bike ride along both banks of the Hudson River, will take place June 24 at 8 p.m., beginning at Paulus Hook Ferry Terminal in Jersey City. The rain date is July 1.
Riders should be at the terminal by 7:30 p.m. to board the New York Waterway Ferry to the Brookfield Place / World Financial Center. They’ll ride north on the Greenway to the New York Waterway Ferry Terminal at 39th Street, then take the ferry back to Weehawken and ride the Hudson River Walkway to Jersey City. Alternately, riders can meet up at the NY Waterway Ferry Terminal at 39th Street to do the second half of the loop.
Before the event, riders should download the New York Waterway App to purchase tickets before the light up ride, as ticket windows may be closed when they arrive at the station areas. Ferry tickets cost $7 from Paulus Hook to WTC Brookfield Place and $9 from 39th street to Weehawken. The first 25 early arrivals to Paulus Hook will get free ferry tickets. Light Up the Loop is hosted by Bike JC.
