Creativity comes in many forms, and Celebrate Life at Home, Hoboken’s new lifestyle store, is full of them. Susan Pascale says her shop is the first in Hudson County to stock Annie Sloan Chalk Paints, an eco-friendly, 45-color product line ideal for novice DIYers.

“Annie Sloan Chalk Paints are water-and-mineral-based nontoxic paints that can be used to cover all materials without sanding or priming beforehand,” she says. “The company proudly supports their staff, stockist community and customers, and they believe in being conscious of the environment and their impact on it.”

Her shop also carries brushes, finishes and stencils; upcycled furniture; textiles; home décor; and select handmade pieces from local artisans. It hosts painting-technique classes and DIY workshops, and Pascale can be commissioned for custom home projects or furniture upcycles. Her mission is to encourage people to renew, refurbish and redo their homes with sustainable products.
