Hudson County ‘Virtual Academy’ to Teach Leadership Skills

Partners in Prevention, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to combat and defeat alcoholism and drug abuse in the Hudson County community, will host the Hudson County Staff Development Virtual Academy on March 3 and 4. Participants will learn and practice important job skills, increase their knowledge base, and discover how their own “leadership language” and personal values impact their job success and satisfaction and career aspirations.

Topics will include The Language of Your Leadership, Building a Culture of Race Equity at Work, Working Across Generations, Time Management for a Neuro-diverse and Tech-driven World, Budgeting Basics for Program Staff, and Virtual Tools for a Virtual World. The cost to attend this training is $400.

As a bonus, Partners in Prevention is adding a third day of training, Focus on Prevention, on March 11. Participants will explore important aspects of alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention, including history, effective prevention methods for adults and youth, and substance-use disorders. The cost to attend is $200 for this training, or $550 for both trainings.

Registration priority is being given to those who live and work in Hudson County.
