Bounce Mkt Offers Fresh Take on ‘Pre-Loved’ Kids’ Clothes
Bounce Mkt, a “pre-loved” kids’ clothing business that opened in Hoboken late last year, was inspired by the personal experience of owner Kelli Brown, who had been looking for ways to shop more sustainably following the birth of her daughter. Brown says she wanted to change how people think about and experience secondhand clothes.
“After struggling to find a local secondhand option, I sought out to create a business that would make secondhand a compelling alternative to buying new for local parents of young families,” she says.
Located in Hoboken’s Monroe Center for the Arts, Bounce Mkt offers clothes from trusted kids’ brands, all freshly laundered and thoroughly inspected to ensure that they’re in excellent condition. Brown says her goal is to make both buying and selling clothes easy for parents, with local pick-ups/deliveries, online shopping and by buying items outright so sellers don’t have to wait to be paid.
“Throughout the shop, little touches create a welcoming environment for parents and kids alike,” Brown says. “There’s a child-sized chair made from recycled toys, an accessory swap that lets kids trade their accessories at no cost, and recycled crayons.”
