Long-Awaited Olivia’s Restaurant Opens in Hoboken
Olivia’s, a new restaurant on a quaint corner of uptown Hoboken, was a dream deferred by COVID. Owner, Mike Gallucci, who also owns Grand Vin, says the eatery that opened in late April at 1038 Garden Street—former site of Sasso’s Liquors and Delicatessen—was originally slated to open in spring of 2020.
“Feeling so grateful for the support and love we have received after opening our doors . . . we want to thank you all for your patience,” he posted on social media.
The menu features a broad range of culinary creations, from Olivia’s Guacamole to free-range chicken to chickpea-dusted shrimp à la Planch.
Space is limited, so
reservations are encouraged (go to Yelp.com and search for Olivia’s Dining and
Cocktails). Hours are Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m. to midnight; and Sunday,
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m.
